Can anyone provide the secret on how to re-assemble the cush drive after replacing the rubbers?

I am using silicon spray as lubrication, but cannot get the paddles to slide between the new rubbers.

I went as far as to place the T-Rex on stands and try to use the jack to force them in. I placed the cushdrive between the jack and the swing arm and lifted the T-Rex off the stands, but still the paddles would not slide into position?

I have successfully re-assembled it in the past with the old rubbers, but cannot do it after installing the new ones. Any ideas?

Are all the rubbers the same? I have a 2003. Are they the same all the way through 2007?

Check twn454's posts he describes grindding the paddles slightly to make a tappered edge.

Grind some metal off the edges of the small blocks and lube it, (Ricks recomendation) worked great.

That makes perfect sense. You wonder why you didn't think of it yourself after someone else points it out.

Good thinking Rick. I'll put the Dremel to work tomorrow.

Thank goodness we still have a resource like this site. Cudos to Wayne for doing the hard work and providing this great site.
