I see the replacement partnumber is A36L, but has anyone actually managed to purchase one?
Is so, where from?
A buddy helped me by filling my gas, but forgot to put the cap back on.
Apparently he sat it on the dash and it fell as I drove off. He turned around and and got back to it, just in time to watch a truck run it over.
Also, what's the best temporary fix until I can get one ordered and delivered?
Thanks,
Gary |

Thanks for the replies.
I ended up Jerry rigging the broken one good enough to ride 500 miles over the weekend, so all is good.
I ordered one through J&P early last week but it didn't arrive until Friday and I had aready headed to Nth GA by then.
It looks good, (they actually send you a vented and non vented version for $54) but I won't know for sure until I try it in the T-Rex on Friday.
I'll repost then and let everyone know if it's the right one to order for future reference.
Regards,
Gary |

Yes, I ordered the following model from J & P.
Item No.: 7200779
Description: BOLT IN GAS CAP SET LOCKING
Price: $53.99
Note: You get two caps, one vented, one non vented. The way they were assembled when they arrived, the vented cap fits the T-Rex, but it will leak. I had to swap the plastic piece that locks the cap into the neck from the vented cap to the non vented cap and then use that one. It is working fine that way. |
