|
|
Just got my t-rex moved from FL to NV. It started to over heat a little right before I left FL but now it gets way too hot!! Its pegged into the red and when you turn it off it sounds like the coolant is boiling! I took it for a quick drive and just as I was backing it in the garage started spraying cooling on the ground too but stopped once the sounds of the boiling stopped. Any ideas and how much is this going to cost me? _________________ If she don't get your heart pumping, then she ain't worth riding. |

Replace your thermostat immediately and get a radiator fan that pushes more air. The 14RR fan pushes 1,250 cfm vs the normal 750 cfm that most T-Rexes have. If none of this cures the problem, look at the water pump. Last is having the radiator rebuilt because of clogged coils. _________________ 2007 T-Rex 1400R - BMW Laguna Seca Blue -Turbo Powered

What year is it? The 07's and newer have a deflector under the radiator to force air toward it. Some of the earlier 07's did not have them installed from the factory. |

I need a new thermal/fan switch. You can put a blow torch to it and it won't turn the fan on. Where do I get one and what type/part number? _________________ If she don't get your heart pumping, then she ain't worth riding. |

Thank to everyone my T-rex is running cool again. Bad cap so it could not hold pressure and the temperature gauge was bad. Replaced both and now stays cool! _________________ If she don't get your heart pumping, then she ain't worth riding. |
