Just bought my 2005 T-Rex about 2 months ago. After having some problems with the carbs the first month, I finally got them back from being rebuilt 2 weeks ago and have put about 400 miles on the T-Rex.
Now to the reason of the thread. I love the T-Rex but the cheap 16" American Racing wheels one of the previous owners installed is killing me. I want to run 18s, problem is few wheels are available in a narrower option than 7.5" wide wheels. Also the most narrow tires I can find for an 18" wheel is a 215/35. Has anyone installed a 7.5" wide front wheel or 8" wide front wheel and what offset did you go with? I can do all the measurements myself I guess but when ordering wheels I would like to get it right the first time and have a little reassurance.
Looking at Iforged Flux at this time but would like to see what others have done with their T-Rex's. Most pics I find searching on line are all chromed out 20s that arent my taste.
Glad to be here on the forum and thanks in advance for any advice. Loving the T-Rex so far. |

Welcome!!! My suggestion is to stick to the +35 offset and the 7" width for the front wheels if your planning on keeping the stock fenders. Most, if not all, the 3 piece wheel manufacturers should be able to custom make rims for you. But if you choose that route, be prepared to dish out the money. Good luck with the mods and enjoy your new toy.

Thanks for the info and the pms I received. Looks like I will be going with the Iforged wheels and sticking to the 7" wide wheels. Will have to run a 215 in the front now which is likely a good thing since the T-Rex likes to under steer at low speeds anyways. |

Since you will be taken the fenders off, now is a good time to do a little fender reinforcement. Just don't want you to stress crack your fender around the mounting holes. PM me if you need some pointers. _________________ 2007 T-Rex 1400R - BMW Laguna Seca Blue -Turbo Powered
