Does K&N make an air filter that replaces the stock filter? If so, please let me know the part number.
Also, is there a trick to putting the ram air hoses back on to the airbox? They were pretty hard to pull off, so I would imaging I will have trouble putting them back on. Should I attach them before or after I put the engine cover back on? _________________ 2007 Blue T-Rex 1400R

No K&N does not make a filter for the 1400 but I have spoke with the factory and we are trying to see about finding a smaller K&N filter and making an adaptor to install them in the existing box.
Put the cover on first and then just keep spinning the hoses back and forth while pushing in. They are not that bad. _________________ X-treme-toyz.net

Wow, that is hard to believe! K&N is fairly close to me so I will give them a call and see if they are interested in making a filter for the T-Rex. I think they will do it, but they always want to see the vehicle. When I got my H2, I called them and they had me come down there to measure it. They sent me a free filter and also a cold air induction kit which was really sh*tty and wound up going in the trash. _________________ 2007 Blue T-Rex 1400R

Well I went down and picked up a NAPA GOLD 6138 until I have time to go out to K&N to see if one of those filters will work. I was surprised to find out that it DOES NOT FIT without modification. The lip on the edge is too thick. The filter that was in there was a Purolator A24346(?). It was also shaved down to fit. It looked like a hack job done with a razor knife. I don't think it was done well due to the sand in the airbox. It most likely can't be shaved down so the whole lip is even. I guess gaskets seal will solve the leaking around the edge but it might get sucked into the engine. I can't believe Campagna would make an airbox that you can't get a properly fitting filter for! This is completely ridiculous! _________________ 2007 Blue T-Rex 1400R

The NAPA Gold 6138 fits perfectly in my 2010 RR - no shaving. It cross references to a 1989 Cavilier 2.0L engine. _________________ 2010 White/Silver 14RR
