I have a problem with my new 2010 RR. I smell gas as I ride in it. The odd part is that I don't smell gas when the tank is mostly full, but only when it gets down to about 2.5 gallons.
I did tighten up the gas cap to get a better seal. But the tank doesn't seem to presurize like it should on a fuel injected engine.
Any ideas of where to look?

G-Rex:
The tank is not under pressure.
The fuel pump draws from the tank and pressures
the fuel rail to the injectors on the 1400.
Don't understand why the amount of fuel in the tank
would make a difference ?? Makes me think the leak
might be between the tank and the pump
Just my guess.

Fuel breather line behind passenger kick panel.make sure its not kinked and hose is routed out behind passenger.when u start to smell fuel check behind passenger near bottom of upper engine cover--this is where the hose comes out. |
