Please post your previous wrecks or near misses. So that myself and other TREX owners don't make the same mistakes. Your input is needed so we don't repeat what mistakes have already been made in the past. Please describe what the situation was and how you could have avoided it. I sound like the the Motocycle Safety Class instructor, but posts by the TREX FAM will help me since I am a newbie.

I hope he got some new jewelry, like lockable bracelets.

My close calls have all been with SUV's. When I managed to see them it was pretty much someone on a cell phone not paying attention. In one case, a guy ran a red light while I was making a protected turn - I saw my life pass before me - and I don't know how that guy managed to turn it just enough to miss me.

Bottom line - people don't pay attention and don't see the little vehicle - so keep your safety zone.

Did you take off your wheel and that is why it is wrecked? I will always take off my wheel and maybe its new with the 2010 but i have a security faub with a flashy red light that won't start the TREX until it is close to the sensor. How was it stolen?

um no.. when he wrecked it, it ripped the front suspension apart and the wheel was held on by the brake line only so I undid the caliper to seperate everything.

Just be careful in heavy downpours, with 3 wheels it is hard to get all three out of the low levels in the road. I hydroplaned at what I thought was a pretty slow speed of 45 mph and did two complete spins in the middle of the interstate. I was very lucky and missed everyone and the guardrails. the T-Rex has a large footprint and not much weight so standing water is not a good thing. It is also amazing how deep the troughs look when you are that low to the road. I also know that Johnny and the other guys form Canada drive all the way to Bike Week in the rain at times with out any problem but just be careful!
