Must not be a good story ??

Hey guys. Sorry I've been through a lot in the past 24hrs. Well on my way back from daytona beach. My buddy called me and asked if he could use my enclosed trailer to drop off a vehicle in nc tues. He has let me use his truck a number of times and he is a trusted friend so I said yes and I would drop off the trailer with the trex in it and he would have to keep the trex in his shop. He agreed and I droped off the truck.

Long story short, one of his employees took it for a joy ride and smashed it into a bridge. Its def totalled. Ill take some pics and post them up. The nose is smashed, frame is bent in. The passanger wheel is ripped off. Control arms are torn off the frame. Side panals are smashed. It is not a good situation.

doesn't it always happen like that... that's why i don't lend my shit to anyone.. sure if they crash it it's covered through the insurance but that doesn't cover the downtime for repairs.. is the guy ok??

Seems the T-Rex is a machine that is hard for any man
to shy away from, even a employee that is not the owner.

The guy was fine. My rex wasn't there for repairs. It was there because my friend needed my trailer. It was supposed to sit in his shop and not be touched. I called evan @GPmotoring to help me out with insurance and getting a value for it. I really hope they cover it for the right amount no issues

you won't get as much out of the ins as you paid for it.. the guy should never have left the keys.. it's good that the guy is okay... now cut his hands off!!!

Keep us posted on the GTA charges and how much time the judge gives him.

I hope that your friend is kind enough to get you a new 2010 T-Rex. That is the least he can do for your "pain and suffering".

Sorry to hear that your trip had to end like this. Hope everything works out for you. Maybe the ins will give you a good #. Make sure they pay for any accessories and improvements like the wheels that you have that receipt for$$. Good luck.
