I'm seriously considering getting just a 2001 frame with minor front end damage along with a 1200 engine for $9000 but wondering if it would be better/cheaper to just keep looking for a used one in my price range? I know finding parts is going to be the biggest pain and can only have so much fun sitting in a Rex frame on the floor. But I figured it would be a start, right? |

If you're good with a wrench, have 9k+++ to spend and have a lot of patience to piece a puzzle together (waiting for parts, installing parts), why not?
Otherwise, I would budget reasonably and shop around for a more reliable/better condition t-rex. Time is money, my friend. |

HAHA made my day!
honnestly, it is a huge job to rebuild a t-rex from scratch, especially if you don't have much experience with these beasts....
I guess you have the papers with it? or you would need to do the whole inspection and all? _________________ Every motor's end is a new begining!

You can find an older T-rex in good shape for $28-34k. It will cost you $25k to buy the parts to fix that one and you still have labor & stress. Keep looking and be patient. _________________ X-treme-toyz.net

hey everyone thanks for the tips & fun avatar to drool over! It's e-bay #110431089011. Spoke with a few people directly at Campagna and they pretty much said the same thing. I've got the experience wrenching on cars & bikes but waiting for parts would get to me! I've found a pretty nice looking '98 Rex for $24k, and now I just need to unload my bikes ASAP!
Thanks for the advice & help! |

the frame has a clean and titled VIN # and the engine # is good too so the frame isn't stolen or anything... |
