Anyone now who was in the yellow T-Rex on Georgia Hwy 60, north of Dahlonega yesterday morning?
A couple of my motorcyle friends helped pull it out of a ditch on the side of the road.
Apparently he spun out and had a flat front tire and possibly some damage to the rim.
I came through about an hour later and didn't see him. I wonder how they got it home on a flat front tire.
Anyway, glad the driver wasn't injured and hopefully it won't turn him off riding in Nth GA in the future.
I would love the local police and State Patrol to see someone else in a T-Rex up there occasionally.
It sucks driving a vehicle that is so rare. I actually got pulled over on Hwy 60 a couple of weeks ago. Apparently, a car driver stopped and told the cop "He passed us on double yellow lines and he was flying". Of course, I wouldn't do such a thing, so the driver must have been confused!
Luckily the officer was honest and didn't give me a ticket without witnessing the alleged offence himself. He did however, take a gook look at the T-Rex and comment "I bet that thing really will fly, won't it?"
That's a tough question to answer given the situation. I settled for "I'll put it this way. It's a lot more fun than sitting around at home in a wheelchair".
He seemed to agree, so hopefully he has a sense of humour. I think there's a pretty good chance I might get to meet up with him again in the future. |
