|
|
I'm the latest newb on the site. Doing to "due diligence" prior to my first T-Rex purchase; and just found the old site and this new site.
There was a thread on .com regarding the MVP Track Time schedule. Who, if anybody, plans to participate?
Dates/Locations:
April 10-11 @ Putnam Park - Greencastle, IN
June 7 @ Autobahn Country Club - Joliet, IL
August 9 @ Autobahn Country Club - Joliet, IL
September 18-19 @ Eagles Canyon Raceway - Decatur, TX
October 16-17 @ Road America - Elkhart Lake, WI
November 20-21 @ Road Atlanta - Braselton, GA
Pending my T-Rex purchase date and details, I'd like to do all but the
Texas event. Any takers?
Thanx all. |

Okay, then maybe I should include the Texas date. I'm originally a life-long Tulsa native, so that would be a good excuse to visit family on the way down/back.
Is there a Dallas-area contingent of owners? I jumped on YouTube for a look at a lap around Eagles. Have you been there? Is it a decent layout/surface?
(Pending the NFL schedule, might be able to take in a Cowboys home game at the new "Palace".) |

Eagles Canyon is interesting. It has some tight and reversing turns with elevation changes. The elevation changes are significant when you are sitting low in the T-Rex. Surface is reasonable - but likely changes with the weather here.
Not aware of any other owners in the DFW area. None on the boards here. _________________ 2010 White/Silver 14RR

Thanx for the feedback. Eagles sounds interesting... worth a shot. I'm surprised there aren't a few Rex owners in DFW. I know of 2 in OKC and 3 in Tulsa; so Dallas needs to man-up. Lol. |

I'm not showing any PMs. Also sent a couple with no response. Maybe restricted, since I haven't sent my $50 yet? |

How is the track at Joliet ?? Have some customers in the Chicago area but have never been to the country club track there.......How much to run for the day?...........VIR is our local , kind of, Road race venue......
We have a great track being built close to louisville Cincinatti area but I am not sure it will be finished this season.........I might be up for a couple of these............ _________________ If it is real fast...It is not fast enough...When it gets too fast....I am getting too old. |

Hi, Jerry-
Joliet is a smooth, grippy, non-abrasive surface. It's relatively flat, but is a very technical layout. It's divided into North/South sections, which can be run separately or combined, depending on the scheduled event.
I'm mostly familiar with the North section, since it's the "bike" track... South is the "car" track. The MYTT days listed above use the Full circuit.
The 2-days through sportbiketracktime.com are $220. Single days are $110. Nice facility overall, as well. |
