I am curious. You folks talk so much about rear bearing problems. I have not had any problems with my rear bearings. Original bearings, 15,000 miles on my 2005. Is this a problem with the newer T-Rex's? Or something that I will run into later?

You must only drive in a straight line , you probably hold the record for bearing longevity or your bearings are on their way out |

Don't just drive in straight line. And if they are already bad, they are not loose or making noise.
I will be changing spockets/chain/tire soon so I will inspect them at that point. _________________ 2010 White/Silver 14RR

well... power too you I don't consider myself to be an abusive operator and mine where not shot but they where starting to make noise ( you could not hear it w/ the engine noise only if u rotated the wheel w/ engine off) @ 7500 miles I believe it was. |

I understand. I use my power more often than I probably should. The darn thing is deafining at 10-11k rpm even with earplugs.
And since I jack it to grease the chain every 300-500 miles, I have plenty of practice spinning the tire and listening to the bearings.
I am convinced that most bearing issues come from improper torque on the axels - ususally over-torqued. That will cause early failures in ball bearings. _________________ 2010 White/Silver 14RR

valid point regarding the torque. It turns out my axle was overtighten previous to me owning it. |
