what up chiennes!!!! i got tired of the back of my neck roasting and had a few bucks to spend one day in home depot so i put this lil baby together.. item price list is as follows:
2'x3' acrylic sheet= $8
10' roll of mirror tint 25%= $16
rubber edge from edge of t-rex seat= free
i was going to do the step by step with pics but we have no kids here.. we all know... it slides in and out.. no muss no fuss.. no screws.. bolts.. pins.. nada.. i had to leave it in the bike for a few days after ccutting and fitting it so it could bend a lil and form to the shape i wanted.. you can just leave it in front of the intake hoses on a slant or you can tuck the bottom in behind the headrests for a better look.. which i chose... either way it looks nice.. the only problem i had is that the acrylic had a few small imperfections in it and i didn't clean it 100% before adding the tint.. big mistake.. but.. for $8 what do you expect from me?? also.. i took the shield off at night and didn't get to tinting it until the next day so it started straightening back out which caused a lil problem after the tint was on and fitted back on the bike.. a little creasing but again... for $14 am i suppose to complain?? nope.. enough talking..
it looks crooked in the pics but it's not.. _________________ keep on keepin on!!! |
